Specs’ Breakdown

⌐◪-◪ → Solana just debuted “Blinks” and “Actions”, letting anyone easily embed blockchain transactions on 𝕏 or any website.

Like Farcaster Frames, Blinks bring transactions to the edge, meeting the user where they’re at — but this time on 𝕏 (not Farcaster).

Unlike Frames which uses the HTML Open Graph protocol, Actions and Blinks use JSON, which is a lot easier for developers.

Once they add mobile support, Blinks could be a product that help bring billions of people on-chain for the first time.

I just hope we see similar functionality for other leading ecosystems like Ethereum and Base. Read more on blinks here.

2. Blast releases tokenomics ahead of today’s 17B $BLAST airdrop

⌐◪-◪ → The long-awaited Blast airdrop is here, commencing today at 10 am ET. Blast users stand to earn a portion of the 17 billion tokens from the “Phase One” airdrop. For context, the total supply is 100B.

For those who haven’t been keeping here, here are some of the Blast network’s major accomplishments:

Check out my friend Stats’ post on X for a detailed breakdown of the airdrop and other incentives that led to Blast’s success.

3. Bitcoin Whale donates $500k to cover Assange’s private jet home

⌐◪-◪ → Julain Assange has officially landed in Australia thanks to a $500k donation from an anonymous Bitcoin Whale.

It was an 8.07 BTC ($496.000) donation which covered nearly all of the $520,000 emergency appeal for Assange’s jet and recovery costs.

The goal was exceeded within hours of the appeal going live, with an additional $376,000 of donations in fiat.

While this headline might not seem like a big deal, it’s a living testament that Bitcoin is the go-to solution when shit hits the fan and you need to get your money somewhere quickly and freely.

The internet is going wild guessing who the anonymous donor is, so far our best guess is Kim Dotcom — based on this post.

Who do you think Julian’s anon donor is? Let me know in Specs Chat!
